Terms and Conditions Analyzer
Last updated: August 26, 2026
A terms and conditions analyzer is a tool that reads an agreement's legal text and flags the clauses that most affect your rights. Instead of wading through thousands of words of dense legalese, you get a short summary of the provisions that matter: the ones that limit what you can do, what the company can do to you, and what happens if something goes wrong.
How a T&C analyzer works
Termcon takes the full text of a Terms and Conditions document and evaluates it across four focused categories: forced arbitration, data collection and sharing, limitation of liability, and unilateral changes. For each category, it assigns a risk level, explains the reasoning in plain language, and quotes the part of the document that supports the assessment.
Why analyzing T&C matters
When you click "I Agree," you may be giving up the right to sue, consenting to broad data sharing, or accepting that the company can change the terms later without asking. Most people never read these clauses because they're long and hard to parse. An analyzer surfaces them in seconds so you can make an informed choice.
Example
A streaming service's terms include a line stating that all disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration and that you waive your right to participate in a class action. Termcon flags this as a high-risk forced arbitration clause and explains, in plain terms, that you can't take the company to court.
What Termcon checks
Termcon reviews the four categories above and produces an overall risk score from 0 to 10, where lower is better. It also provides an executive summary of the most significant rights you'd be giving up.
