Terms of Service Analyzer
Last updated: August 26, 2026
A Terms of Service (ToS) analyzer reads the rules that govern your use of an app, website, or platform and highlights the clauses that affect your rights. "Terms of Service" and "Terms and Conditions" are often used interchangeably, and Termcon treats both as the same kind of agreement: the contract between you and the company providing the service.
What a ToS analyzer looks for
Termcon evaluates ToS documents across four areas: whether you're forced into arbitration, how your data is collected and shared, how broadly the company limits its liability, and whether it can change the terms unilaterally. Each area gets a risk level and a plain-language explanation tied back to the text.
Why this matters
A ToS can determine whether you can sue a company, whether your data is sold to third parties, and whether the rules can shift after you've already signed up. Understanding these provisions before you agree helps you decide whether a service is worth the trade-offs.
Example
A social platform's ToS says it may update its policies at any time and that continued use counts as acceptance. Termcon flags this as a unilateral change clause and explains that the company can effectively rewrite your agreement without asking you to agree again.
What Termcon checks
Termcon produces an overall risk score from 0 to 10 (lower is better) and a per-category breakdown, so you can see which specific provisions are driving the risk.
